Epoxy tile grouts
Epoxy grout has become more and more popular among tile contractors and builders. Unlike cement grout, which is made from a cementitious powder mix, epoxy grout is made from epoxy resins and a filler powder. The grout is extremely durable and completely stains proof. Regular grout is not waterproof and unlike epoxy grout, will readily absorb water and stain easily as a result. If you feel it is high time to swap scrubbing gunk off your grout for more meaningful activity, Stentor concurs. Let us make it happen for you.
Epoxy grout sets quickly, so we always prepare it patiently, portion by portion.
How is epoxy grout made? How is working with it?
Made from two different resins mixed with filler, epoxy grout is very waterproof and better suited to harsh cleaning products. Epoxy thin sets offer greater bond strength and chemical resistance compared to cementious grouts.
Regular grout is very easy to shape at the outer corners where tiles wrap around a wall, curb or shower niche. Epoxy grout offer a bigger challenge achieving the same effect since it takes a little longer to set up in the grout joint. But once achieved, the results are excellent.
